Laptop life spans

Hello:

I have been running a H-P Omnibook for about 4 years utilizing Delorme software and G.P.S. system for keeping track of my location and rolling the maps when I am going to a new account. I have now destroyed my second Omnibook due to the vibration and shaking of the screen wearing out the hinge.

Anyone know of a heavy duty laptop for use in a mobile environment? Gonna need to buy a new machine.
