I say we let them know we're here

and that we make a difference.

I know this is a busy website. Why all the silence trucker brothers and sisters?

Did you park your rigs today? I did! Did "they" hear us? Maybe not, but I'm willing to park it again and again until they take notice.

Have you eased up on the pedal? I drive up and down I-5 and Highway 99 all the time. Two rigs going down the road at 60 mph for a long stretch of highway gets noticed.

We need to be noticed. We need to be heard. We do make a difference. I'm interested in hearing from you.

What is really happening?

I mean, think about it seriously!

Who benefits if a bunch of owner-operators are forced to park their trucks permanently? Wouldn't that be the bigger corporate companies who can afford to weather the storm and pay the rising fuel costs?

Okay, play it out. Clear the board of a bunch of one man shops and who is left to play? Big companies firmly entrenched just the other side of our southern border with loads of drivers willing to drive on this side of the line for about a quarter of the money we used to be able to earn.

I'd like to be able to claim credit for that idea, but I heard it on one of my favorite talk shows. Why does diesel cost so much more than regular gasoline? Can any one else come up with better theories?
