What is really happening?
I mean, think about it seriously!
Who benefits if a bunch of owner-operators are forced to park their trucks permanently? Wouldn't that be the bigger corporate companies who can afford to weather the storm and pay the rising fuel costs?
Okay, play it out. Clear the board of a bunch of one man shops and who is left to play? Big companies firmly entrenched just the other side of our southern border with loads of drivers willing to drive on this side of the line for about a quarter of the money we used to be able to earn.
I'd like to be able to claim credit for that idea, but I heard it on one of my favorite talk shows. Why does diesel cost so much more than regular gasoline? Can any one else come up with better theories?
